Rent a Box is your specialist for trading with Secondhand Jewelry and Watches:

• - You can rent a box in one of our Shops to sell your Jewelry or Watch.
• - We sell high class Secondhand Jewelry and Watches of known Swiss brands.

How can I sell Jewelry or Watches to Rent a Box? How do I get my money?

The most simple way to sell your Watches and Jewelry to Rent a Box is to bring them to one of our shops. You find them under Locations. For old gold we can draw up an offer directly in our shops. Draw up an offer for Jewelry with gems or Watches takes about one or two days. If you agree with our offer, we pay immediately by cash or if you wish per e-banking. We also accept your Jewelry or Watch in part exchange for a new piece of Jewelry or a Watch, in which case we even offer you more for your Secondhand Jewelry or Watch. If you wish to buy new Jewelry or a Watch at a later point in time we issue a voucher.
You can also use our inquiry form to offer us your Jewelry or Watches and we will submit a first orientation offer via Mail.

How can I be sure that the Watches Rent a Box offers are genuine? Is the Jewelry made out of gold or platinum? Are the gems genuine?

Each piece of Jewelry and each Watch Rent a Box offers is checked for authenticity at least twice by the head of our Goldsmith studio and our Watchmaker. The first check takes place before each purchase and another check is made right before the Jewelry and Watches are released for resale. Furthermore, with each purchase you receive a certification of value which guarantees the authenticity of the sold Jewelry and Watches.

Does Rent a Box sell new or secondhand Jewelry and Watches?

We sell new and Secondhand Jewelry and Manufacturings of our inhouse Goldsmith Studios.
All our Watches are sold Secondhand. They are being controlled, revised, and if necessary even restored by our inhouse Watchmaker Wolfgang Maurer.
Furthermore, offering up to 30% discount of the list price, we can order new Watches of known Swiss brands for our customers.

Can I rent the Jewelry and Watches displayed in the shop windows?

No. The term ‘Rent a Box’ refers to the boxes in our windows which can be rented to sell Jewelry and Watches. The Jewelry and Watches displayed in these boxes are not for rent but for sale.

Why can Rent a Box provide a two year warranty for secondhand Watches?

The two year warranty provided is not a manufacturer’s warranty but a warranty provided by Rent a Box.

Does Rent a Box sell spare parts for Watches?

No, Rent a Box does not sell spare parts. However, we do revise and/or repair Watches of different kinds of brands.

Does the inhouse Goldsmith Studio undertake custom manufactures, alterations and repairs of Jewelry?

Yes, our Goldsmiths can repair or alter your Jewelry or manufacture your custom Jewelry.
